Experimental verification of phase transformation kinetics and continuous and isothermal heat treatments in dilatometric tests.

Objectives

The objective of WP2 is related to experimental verification of the heat and thermomechanical treatment parameters obtained in simulation tests. It will allow for their optimization and adaptation to the conditions occurring during technological processing of sheets and plates.

The development of optimal parameters during heating, continuous and isothermal cooling in the conditions of thermomechanical and thermal processing will allow the production of sheets and plates with unique mechanical properties.

Deliverables

Optimal time-temperature parameters of thermomechanical processing and heat treatment in order to obtain sheets and plates characterized by high mechanical properties.

Optimal parameters of the speed of continuous or isothermal heating and cooling corresponding to the conditions occurring during technological processing of sheets and plates.

Optimal time-temperature parameters of thermomechanical processing and heat treatment in order to obtain sheets and plates characterized by high mechanical properties.

Milestone

Obtaining optimal time-temperature parameters of heat treatment and thermomechanical processing. Determination of the critical temperatures of steels: Ac1, Ac3, Ms and and ranges of phase transformations of supercooled austenite in undeformed and deformed state.

Obtaining optimal heat treatment parameters based on the kinetics of phase transformations of supercooled austenite. Experimental verification and optimization of the time-temperature parameters obtained in the model tests performed as part of the work package 1.


Verification of the correctness of the applied parameters of heat treatment and thermomechanical processing based on a comprehensive microstructural analysis.
